Who is behind this app / site?

My name is Stefano, and I live in Switzerland.

In 2018, I decided to dedicate the project required to complete my BSc to the problem of youth indebtedness.

The study identified several possible approaches to mitigate the problem and support people with difficulties in managing their personal finances.

This site / app is meant to verify those "hypothesis". From time to time surveys might be proposed to users.

It is my hope that, as a tool it could benefit people in "financially healthy" situations as well.

What you see here was developed in a very limited time frame, and functionalities are minimal.

Why the name?

Domain names that are easy to remember are increasingly scarce. Considering the purpose for which I built this site/app, I was not willing to pay thousand of dollars to acquire a "cute" name.

Piggy is meant to associate with piggy banks (i.e. savings), and Yoga with improving discipline and self-control [1].

How about the future?

Being a user myself, I will continue to operate this application and possibly further develop it. A lot depends on time availability and public's interest.

To facilitate further developments I'd like to open source the project. Before this possibility though, I will need to formally conclude the school project and publish the results.

I will operate it ad-free until costs (mainly Cloud infrastructure) are bearable.
